What is the Senior Gift program?
The Senior Gift program offers seniors the opportunity to show their
appreciation for all they have experienced as undergraduates at Stanford.
Additionally, it is a senior's first chance to demonstrate that he or she is
committed to providing the same extraordinary programs and experiences to the
classes that follow.
How will my Senior Gift be used?
All Senior Gifts are contributed to The Stanford Fund for Undergraduate
Education. The Stanford Fund supports over 1,000 scholarships each year in
addition to academic initiatives, student programs, and activities such as
Undergraduate Research Opportunity grants, Freshmen and Sophomore Seminars, Overseas
Studies, Honors College, and campus community centers. Learn more about how

In addition, $350,000 is earmarked each year for student-run organizations that
participate in the Partnership Program, a collaboration between The Stanford
Fund and the Office of Student Activities. See a list of student groups that received funding during the 2004-05 school year.
I already pay tuition! Why should I give more money to Stanford?
Tuition only covers about 60% of the costs of a Stanford education. Donations
from alumni and friends are used to cover the remaining costs, thus making your
experiences possible. Likewise, your gift to The Stanford Fund will enable the
students who come after you to have a unique, world-class Stanford experience.
Why is my participation in the Senior Gift campaign so important?
Every gift counts! Last year, gifts to The Stanford Fund under $100 totaled over
$500,000.
High Senior Gift participation also sends a strong message of student
satisfaction to alumni, parents, other universities, and future students. How
compelling it is to see that the majority of Stanford seniors value the quality
of their education so much that they are willing to demonstrate their commitment
to making that experience a reality for the student who will come after them.
How can I make a gift?
By credit card: Connect through the link by clicking the
"Make a Gift" button on the right side of this page. You have the option of
making a one-time gift or setting up a recurring gift.
By check: Please make your check payable to Stanford, print your SUID number and
"Senior Gift" on the front of the check, drop it in an envelope and address it
to Senior Gift—Arrillaga Alumni Center, mail code 5018. You can put the
envelope in any campus mailbox.
By cash: Send an e-mail to
seniorgift2006@lists.stanford.edu and arrange a time for someone to come and pick up your gift.
